Community Outreach Worker

Bekah Marcellus

she/they

Bekah is a proud member of the 2SLGBTQIAP+ Community who grew up in St. Albert and recently moved to Edmonton with her dog, Jester. While studying for their Undergraduate Degree, they worked with various Indigenous communities on community lead projects. They have a passion for mental health and addiction work, and have volunteered extensively with the NDP’s Gender and Sexual Diversity Caucus, first as their Fundraising Director and later as Co-Chair. Since joining Outloud, she has started several new groups for youth and their parents, and has taken over running a number of others. When not running programming, she spends her time building relationships with schools and community stake holders to increase the number of safer spaces for Outloud’s youth. In their spare time, Bekah enjoys horror movies, researching weird history facts, and playing Dungeons and Dragons.
