Juniors (under 12) start the night at 6pm with a creative art activity from Mia. Natalie will be back tonight for all of you who have missed her. Loads of cool stuff to talk about and get ready for cause summer is right around the corner. We have the Rainmaker Rodeo, so many cool pride events, and also the St Albert Pride Festival. If you would like to perform or be a vendor at St Albert Pride then contact us so we don’t miss you.
Youth Group Speaker tonight
The internet tells us about the past with so much bias and false information. What will it be like to hear from someone who has the lived the things that you have heard about. Murray Billett has been an advocate and vocal leader in the LGBTQ community for almost 40 years. Back when people were actually arrested for being gay, Murray was helping them be themselves and still challenging the system. Come listen to a warrior for Queer people and a leader in our community. We get started 7pm at the Collective, 43 St Thomas street in St Albert.
Pride Crosswalk Sponsors
Thanks so much to the caring businesses who helped the St Albert Pride Crosswalk become a reality. The evening may have been cold but the spirits were high at the painting. We had so much support from MDO Opticians, Century 21 Masters, TD Canada Trust, Rivers Edge Counselling Centre, Active Physio Works, as well as Mayor Cathy Heron, MLA Marie Renaud, and all the wonderful people who came out to show support, cheer, and Paint! Check out these happy Pride filled faces!
Special thank you to Tim Osborne Photography for getting all these pictures.
