Outloud Youth

Ages 13 – 24, friends, and allies.

You are not alone

Are you wondering if anyone else in the St. Albert area is lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, or questioning?

The answer is yes!! Everyone goes through their own difficult process and we are here to support you. We are just a group of youth from 13 to 24 that are in the same place as you.

Come have fun with us in a safe place

We eat, drink, and get to know each other through games and laughter. Outloud is not a counselling session although we do have tons of resources for you.

Just show up, have food, have fun, don’t bring anything except your friends and allies — we don’t expect you to meet a bunch of strangers alone.

Yes we have adult facilitators there but the youth run the show. And there’s no pressure to participate in any activity, simply enjoy the time with others.

A typical meeting starts with introductions, including everyone’s preferred name and pronouns. There are planned activities that are LGBTQ positive including games, questions and answers, movies, and guest speakers.

Juniors and Youth can earn Outloud “I AM LOVED” Dog Tags with attendance. Groups may also share pizza and age-appropriate games for sharing and support.

Parents and guardians are welcome and can join the fun or go to the discussion room with other adults.

There is no charge for the program but donations are appreciated.

Clothing Swap & Crazy Games!

We had a lot of new faces at this meeting! But that didn't stop us from our usual round of introductions with names, pronouns, and this weeks skill testing question... 'what's your favourite colour?' We had a real spectrum of responses on this one. We had a lot of...

End of Summer Water Fight!

End of Summer Water Fight!

As always, the beginning of the night started with introductions, pronouns and our question of the night. The question we posed to the youth was what they were looking forward to in the upcoming school year. We then moved straight into our main event for the evening...
